Michelle K. Morrison, M.A., CCC-SLP
Director of Operations

Michelle Morrison joined The Speech and Hearing Center in 2001. As Director of Speech Pathology for eight years, her driving force was patient-centric innovation — her program and process improvements reenergized our patients. Today, Michelle uses her entrepreneurial skills to oversee all the clinical and business operations of The Speech and Hearing Center, responsibilities for which she is well prepared.
When Michelle joined TSHC, she added a wealth of know-how to our operations. Trained as a speech-language pathologist, Michelle practiced in a wide range of settings helping children and adults in private and public organizations. Highlights of her clinical work include early-childhood intervention, special-education speech pathology, design and development of high school independent-living programs, and communications-skills development with autistic kids, an experience that was particularly satisfying.
But her two spoiled Labrador Retrievers insist on balancing her life with lots of play (or Mom’s therapy as they call it). Michelle has worked with Thoroughbred horses for many years, and as a volunteer, contributes to therapeutic-riding programs. She played and coached fast-pitch softball and coached boys basketball and volleyball. Currently, improving her game of billiards and finding room for her ever expanding music collection...well, until the Labs say enough is enough.
Michelle is a graduate of Western Illinois University (B.S., Communication Sciences and Disorders; M.A., Communications Sciences and Disorders). Currently, she is a doctoral students (Ed.D. expected in 2011) in Organizational Leadership at Argosy University.
